It was the custom of the period for the bride to marry in her home parish, possibly Kinnitty, so we therefore conducted a search of the Kinnitty R.C. marriage records for the marriage of James O'Carroll to Anne Dunne circa 1843 and unfortunately failed to locate this marriage record. We then proceeded to search the surrounding R.C marriage records of Kilcormac, Banagher/Cloghan and Eglish and successfully located the marriage record of your ancestors in the Eglish R.C. marriage record as follows:
We also conducted a search of the
Kinnitty R.C. marriage records for the marriage records of James and Anne
O'Carroll's two daughters i.e. Margaret O'Carroll and Sera O' Carroll
and have located possible marriage records in Kinnitty as follows:
